Bharatanatyam Dance Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Bharatanatyam teacher to deliver structured, engaging and high-quality dance training to students of different ages and abilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver Bharatanatyam classes for children and adults.
  • Teach adavus, mudras, abhinaya, rhythm, theory and repertoire.
  • Prepare students for performances, examinations and cultural events.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support rehearsals, workshops and school productions.
  • Maintain professional teaching and safeguarding standards.

Candidate requirements

  • Formal training in Bharatanatyam.
  • Relevant teaching or performance experience.
  • Strong understanding of Bharatanatyam technique and theory.
  • Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
  • Ability to work with students from different backgrounds and age groups.
